Sonar Fun Facts: Coffee Edition

Through past blog entries, Facebook posts, and tweets, we’ve given you guys a little glimpse into the lives of Team Sonar: our desks, our childhood accomplishments, our fashion choices. We hope this gives you some insight on the people who fuel Sonar. But what fuels the people who fuel the app?

Approximately 16 cups of coffee. An informal poll of Sonar team members showed that the team drinks about 16 cups of coffee on a given workday. Some team members, though, go through the day caffeine free - for every 4 cups of coffee of coffee consumed, there’s 1 team member who consumes none. Among coffee-drinkers, taste varied from machiattos to iced coffees.

Ben, one of our engineers, takes home the prize for most hardcore coffee drinker: he likes his coffee hot, black, with no sugar and no milk.
